2012 Season Recap

Land & Sea Park Paddle- Jan 2012
I've been horrible at keeping up to date with the blog this season. I'm sorry, that's about all I can say. Quick tweets and quick facebook things seem to be easier these days. However, I didn't want to leave these trips off the blog, so I've got a BUNCH of pics to recap this season and I'll add little captions for them along the way. Hoping to get caught up so I can do some longer posts very soon :)
I love this shot below! Dallas took it from the top of the rock above on Osprey Cay. It has it all...the pretty blues, the island & the kayaks :)

Dallas' brother, Jeremy (above), was here for a short visit a couple weeks back. They went out for an overnight camping and fishing trip and caught 12 mahi mahi in one afternoon... They were biting this day for sure. Check out the size of this one!
Any day fishing with his best friend and brother is a GREAT day!

A lot of love here in this photo... the boat, the rods, the stunning sunset
Rigging things up getting ready to go!
First morning of sailing on our ASA Sailing Expedition at the end of April!
There are actually three boats in this shot.
This was just about the first rainfall of the year, and it really poured! Everyone on this trip was TRULY amazing sports about the weather. It is after all the biggest factor for our trips, and one of the main things we can't control. I was told they huddled under the brand new and Five Star shade tarp like Emperor Penguins; rotating positions so each could get a turn in the dry spots. I send a heartfelt thank-you out to each of you that were out there. Dallas brags about how great you all were and how, in spite of the cruddy weather, you were all really fantastic 'adventurers' :). After two days straight of raining, thundering and more raining, our beautiful sunshine finally returned to us.
Bernadette, Captain Jack, Maria all smiles in the sunshine!
Al & Brian- Dry is GOOD!
Brenda, Jerry & Brian- Packed up camp in record time
Now, if we could figure out a time share with this slide... we'd be straight.
Time for a little friendly competition...
David & Hartmut- The official Champions :)
After about 52 miles of sailing, the only capsize occurred 200 feet off the final landing. The thrill of the tip brought out the inner Baywatch rescue in some.
Hartmut exploring the sunken plane near Johnny Depp's island.
Yummy looking crawfish....safe in the park.
Pretty Sea Pearls on Bitter Guana Cay
Sailing off after a nice lunch with the Iguanas on Bitter Guana Cay

Fish...guitar...same thing, right? :)
Nurse sharks at Compass Cay Marina while cleaning the fish at high tide
Great 2012 Season, and tons more than what I have captured here. Anyone out there that did a trip and wants to contribute a write up and some photos, I'll be happy to post it on here. Just email me the info. Next up is my (Tamara's) kayaking trip back in May. HAPPY SUMMER everyone!
